I have been working on Ansible and loving it every day as a Linux Admin Ansible has made my work easy. As you may have heard that Red Hat has acquired ansible works and its now a part of the new Red Hat Satellite server
Hmm, you might be wondering why? To setup, a new development environment uses to take 3 1/2 days. which involves a lot of manual editing of configuration files in Linux on multiple servers ( 30 Plush Linux Servers ).
Now with the help of Ansible after writing everything in PlayBooks and braking the tasks in small Plays We have got the time down to less than 4 hours.
Saving us 3 days of work and just imagine a human error done in configuration will take you another day or two to troubleshoot the error. But with Ansible you can be sure that there is no human errors.
One major advantage with ansible, unlike Pupet or Chef, is it does not work on agent and we do not need to do major configurations which you need to do on Puppet Master … Ansible works on PUSH and SSH keys
